Running Stitch & Base Stitch

Running Stitch

Running stitch is one of the most simple hand sewing stitches.

1st : - Fold the edge of the fabric.
2nd – Thread the needle & knot the thread.
3rd – Place the needle through the fabric & bring it back up to the top side from the bottom side of the fabric. Repeat.
4th – Finally put a knot to it.

Useful Reminders:
  • A running stitch is the easiest to remove when Basting. It is easy to maintain a straight line when sewing a running stitch & it is very quick hand sewing stitch.
